Where functiontakes form.

I investigate how things move, break, and endure—then give those forces a form people can enter.

An approach to making

Analysis, making, and aesthetic judgment are not separate stages.

A model lets me understand a force. An experiment lets me meet its uncertainty. Design gives the result a form that others can enter. Each changes the next question I ask.

01

Observe

Begin with a phenomenon that refuses to look ordinary.

02

Explain

Build a physical model, then make it answer to evidence.

03

Make

Translate knowledge into an object, image, or experience.

04

Re-see

Let culture and human response open the next inquiry.

Performance gave the car purpose. A red-and-gold visual language gave a Chinese team a presence people recognized.

Context / identity

Familiar cultural language,
placed in an unfamiliar
technical context.

Our red-and-gold identity was singular in the international field. Its recognizability drew repeated praise and helped the team earn Xiaomi's support.

Spaghetti Accelerator

How does a brittle strand, pushed into a curved tube, fracture—and launch fragments at surprising speed?

01

Model the strand

I treated the spaghetti as a beam constrained by contact points in the curved tube, linking deflection to concentrated stress.

02

Account for loss

The energy balance included initial motion, stored strain energy, fracture dissipation, and friction along the tube wall.

03

Test the parameters

Experiments varied tube bend angle, curvature radius, terminal length, material properties, and pushing speed.

When simulation
meets the tunnel.

CFDWIND TUNNEL

A literature-based analytical study of why simulated and measured vehicle aerodynamics diverge.

I compared how Reynolds number, blockage, mesh sensitivity, convergence, boundary conditions, and experimental uncertainty shape validation—not to produce another colorful contour plot, but to ask when a result deserves trust.

Scope note

This study synthesizes existing simulations and experiments; it does not claim new CFD or wind-tunnel data.

A line cut
cannot be uncut.

Seal carving teaches a different kind of precision: feel resistance through the hand, compose positive and negative space in reverse, and accept that one unsteady movement can demand an entirely new beginning.

Other ways I make meaning

Not every project needs to be a monument.
